HELLO THERE,
WE ARE STORYBORD.

PHILOSOPHY

It's no secret that people buy from people.
It's the maker, the do-er, the person behind the brand that people want to buy from and it's our mission here at StoryBord to ensure that your business is seen by your tribe.

“What’s our story?”

The idea of Storybord took hold whilst we were eating out during those pre-pandemic glory days. We were having one of the most incredible meals of our lives, everything was perfect. The food didn’t just taste like anything we’d had before but it was being presented in a truly beautiful and thoughtful way. This restaurant really cared about their craft.

Later, at home, we looked up the restaurant on Instagram to give them a follow and to share with others. Surprisingly, there is no way we would have paired the restaurant we’d just experienced with what we were currently looking at. The real world experience vs the online experience were polar opposites and it was such a shame.

Poor, badly lit photography didn’t capture the same detail, love, passion, presentation or personality experienced in reality. It failed to convey any sense of who they were, what they were about or what made them different to other restaurants in the area. They had such great story to tell, such a great message to send but where failing to use their voice online to tell the world just how good they were.

The truth is, they aren’t alone and it’s not their fault. Small businesses can be so stretched putting their efforts into the day to day tasks and that they leave little or nothing in reserve when it comes to getting their brand message out there.

We knew we could help and the idea of Storybord was born.

We’ve always had a passion for small businesses. We love seeing new small and independent shopkeepers open their doors. We want to help you get the word out, to be your megaphone and help tell the story of your brand to a potentially much larger audience.

I’m David and I come from a long background in wedding photography. It's where I’ve learnt my craft to tell a story through photographs because when you’re a wedding photographer you’re actually a portrait photographer, a product photographer, a landscape photographer, a architecture photographer and of course and probably most important of all, a documentary photographer. It’s my skill as a documentary photographer that I really feel will allow me to work with you to capture the true essence of what your brand is really is.

We want to be part of your everyday because that's where the magic happens.

“So how does this work?”

Social Media platforms connects you directly with your clients, yet so many brands underutilise and undervalue the power of social media. With recent changes in how we shop, it is more important than ever to have online brand visibility. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Open your doors to us and we’ll document what we see. From how you work to what you want to promote. We won't ask you to pose, we won't ask you to do something you wouldn't ordinarily do, we want you to be you because it's you that people want to see. The brand they love and the people behind it.

Contact us.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
